The Spencer Cherashore Fund presents A Celebration of the Actor at the Public Theater, in honor of the dedication, passion, and artistry of the professional actor. A pre-program reception, catered by Westbank Café, will take place from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. The event, to be hosted by Actress Charlayne Woodard will include a keynote address by Broadway director, David Esbjornson, and four original monologues on the actor by Lee Blessing, Migdalia Cruz, Jose Rivera, and James Still. Monologues will be read by Kate Burton, Florencia Lozano, John Seitz, and an actor in the audience to be selected in a live drawing. A special appearance will be made by Charles Busch and Julie Halston. An Announcement of the 2004 Spencer Cherashore Fund grant recipients will close the evening.
