WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
York College presents the York College Foundation's 3rd Annual Scholarship Benefit. This year's performer is the world renowned jazz saxophonist, Branford Marsalis. The event will honor George Wein, " Legendary Jazz Impressario", Assemblywoman Vivian E. Cook, Queens District 32 and York '75 Alumnus Patrick J. MacKrell, President & Chief Executive Office of the New York Business Development Corporation.
• 6:30 pm - Pre-VIP Program (Special Ticket required)
• 7:30 pm - Awards Presentation and Concert
• Post-Concert - VIP Reception with Branford Marsalis (Special Ticket required)
All proceeds from the event will be used to provide Merit Scholarships to academically qualifying students. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in an internship to aid those in the birthplace of Jazz - New Orleans.
