Will Swenson Sets a Date to Return to Broadway's Les Misérables

The production’s original Javert ends his hiatus from the Broadway revival.

Will Swenson, the original Javert in the latest Broadway revival of Les Misérables, will return to performances at the Imperial Theatre beginning October 9. He returns after a two-month hiatus from the production to premiere the musical Bull Durham at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, in which he costarred with Tony nominee Melissa Errico. Swenson's temporary replacement, West End veteran Earl Carpenter, will play his final performance on Tuesday, October 7.

The revival production of the epic Claude-Michel Schönberg/Alain Boublil musical opened at the Imperial Theatre on March 23, earning three Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical. The cast currently features Tony nominee Ramin Karimloo as Jean Valjean, Caissie Levy as Fantine, Tony winner Nikki M. James as Éponine, Andy Mientus as Marius, Samantha Hill as Cosette, Cliff Saunders as Thénardier, Tony nominee Keala Settle as Madame Thénardier, and Kyle Scatliffe as Enjolras.
