Updated Casting Announced for Super Shaw Women

Some of New York’s finest actors will perform scenes from George Bernard Shaw’s works in a one-night-only event.

Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Project Shaw, now in its 12th year, announced updated casting for its upcoming one-night-only event Super Shaw Women at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre on Monday, July 17, at 7pm.

The evening, directed by David Staller, will now feature performances of scenes and monologues from George Bernard Shaw plays from a cast including Alison Cimmet, Jayne Houdyshell, Sheria Irving, Mia Katigbak, Sondra Lee, and Daphne Rubin-Vega, with more names to be revealed later.

The all-female cast will deliver excerpts from Candida, Man and Superman, Mrs. Warren's Profession, Pygmalion, Back to Methuselah, The Apple Cart, Misalliance, Heartbreak House, and more.

Super Shaw Women is part of Project Shaw's 2017 season, Women Take the Stage: Celebrating 100 Years of Women's Rights. The event is described as follows: "A brilliant cast of actresses will play every one of your beloved Shaw women in less than two hours that are sure to be wild, wacky, and completely inappropriate!"
