Tony Award winner Billy Porter will return to Broadway's Kinky Boots tomorrow night, April 28, after a three-month hiatus. The Tony-winning production runs at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Billy Porter originated the role of Lola when Kinky Boots opened on April 4, 2013, winning the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.

Featuring a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory, who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success. The current cast of Kinky Boots includes Kyle Taylor Parker, Andy Kelso, Jeanna de Waal, Daniel Stewart Sherman, Cortney Wolfson, Marcus Neville, and more.

Parker, who took over the role of Lola in Porter’s absence, is set to return to the first national touring production of Kinky Boots. Parker made his Broadway debut as an "Angel" in the show's original company.
