Fellow Tony-Winning Composer Tom Kitt to Join Jason Robert Brown for Upcoming SubCulture Concert

The event will mark the second concert in Brown’s residency.

Tom Kitt, Tony-winning composer of Next to Normal and If/Then, is set to join Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winning composer of Honeymoon in Vegas and The Bridges of Madison County, for a one-night concert at SubCulture on April 20. The event, which will be presented as part of Brown's ongoing artist-in-residency program at the venue, will feature each composer with his own piano.

Kitt was the recipient of the 2010 Pulitzer prize for Drama as well as two Tony Awards for Next to Normal. Additional Broadway credits include High Fidelity and Bring It On: The Musical. Kitt was also responsible for the arrangements and orchestrations for Green Day’s American Idiot on Broadway.

Jason Robert Brown's musical Honeymoon in Vegas is currently running at the Nederlander Theatre, and a film version of his musical The Last Five Years was released on February 13. He is also the author of the musicals Parade, 13 The Musical, and Songs for a New World.
