Recent Les Mis Star Nikki M. James Helps Raise Money for Creative Alternatives of New York

Tony Award winner Nikki M. James, who recently completed a run on Broadway in Les Misérables, helped raise funds for Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY) through a screening of the documentary To Russia With Love on January 14 at the Engelman Recital Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

CANY empowers trauma survivors through drama therapy. To Russia With Love, a documentary by Sundance Productions, follows Olympic skater Johnny Weir and other LGBT athletes at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi as they choose whether to risk their own safety by speaking out against Russia's anti-gay laws.
