Jennifer Haley's The Nether celebrates its official opening at MCC's Lucille Lortel Theatre on Tuesday, February 24. The futuristic drama, directed by Anne Kauffman, explores the complicated morality of the digital world's newest frontier: a virtual playground where people can be coaxed into acting out their darkest fantasies, with no "real world" consequences. The cast features Emmy Award winner Merritt Wever, Tony winner Frank Wood, Tony nominee Peter Friedman, Ben Rosenfield, and Sophia Anne Caruso. Take a first look at the company in performance as they translate this artificial universe to the stage.
