Broadway's The Last Ship, a new musical featuring a score by 16-time Grammy winner Sting, will release an original Broadway cast album on December 16.

Produced by Universal Music Classics, the recording will feature some of the compositions included on Sting's own 2013 album of the same name, as well as selections exclusively written and recorded for the stage production. The recording will also include two versions of the ballad "What Say You, Meg?" — one sung by the character Arthur Millburn and one recorded by Sting as a bonus track, available exclusively on the cast album.

The Last Ship, featuring a book by Tony Award winner John Logan and Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey, tells the story of Gideon Fletcher, a young man from the English seafaring town of Wallsend who leaves his life behind to travel the world. He returns home 15 years later to find out that what he deserted is more than he ever could have imagined.

The show, now running at the Neil Simon Theatre, stars Michael Esper, Rachel Tucker, Jimmy Nail, Fred Applegate, Aaron Lazar, Sally Ann Triplett, and Collin Kelly-Sordelet.
