The Humans, a new play by Stephen Karam, will make its off-Broadway debut through Roundabout Theatre Company in fall 2015. The production, slotted to run at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, will be directed by Joe Mantello.

Part of Roundabout's New Play Initiative, The Humans is set during Thanksgiving as Mr. Blake brings his family to celebrate at his daughter's new apartment. But family tensions reach a boiling point as darkness falls.

Playwright Karam's history with Roundabout Theatre Company includes productions of his plays Speech & Debate and Sons of the Prophet.

Dates, full casting, and the design team for The Humans will be announced at a later date.
