The Fortress of Solitude Extends at the Public Theater

The Fortress of Solitude, which opened last night at the Public Theater, has added two weeks to its schedule. Performances will now run through November 16.
Based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by 2005 MacArthur Fellow Jonathan Lethem, The Fortress of Solitude, a new musical featuring a book by Itamar Moses and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, is a coming-of-age story that takes place in 1970s Brooklyn and beyond. Directed by Daniel Aukin, the Public Theater mounting is a coproduction with Dallas Theater Center.
