The cast of the recent off-Broadway musical Tamar of the River will celebrate the release of the show's upcoming cast recording with a reunion concert on September 22 at Musical Theater Factory. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Seeds of Peace.

Yellow Sound Label will release the Tamar of the River cast recording on September 23, preserving the score by Marisa Michelson and Joshua H. Cohen. The album was produced by Michael Croiter.

Tamar of the River starred Margo Seibert in the title role (for which she earned a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical), alongside Ako, Jeremy Greenbaum, Erik Lochtefeld, Mike Longo, and Vince B. Vincent. It also featured Jen Anaya, Adam Bashian, Margot Bassett, Troy Burton, Tamrin Goldberg, Aaron Komo, and Mary Kate Morrissey. For the album, they are joined by Patrick Cragin. The production was directed by Daniel Goldstein and music-directed by Matt Aument.

Tamar of the River was produced by Prospect Theater Company in fall 2013. The musical, inspired by the biblical story of Tamar and Judah, follows the titular Tamar's journey for the pursuit of peace in a war-torn world.
