Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From The Wars Extends at the Public Theater

Jo Bonney directs this new play by the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright.

The Public Theater has announced a two-week extension today for the world premiere of Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3). The Jo Bonney-directed production, which began previews on October 14, will close November 30. The production was originally scheduled to end its run on November 16.

Set during the Civil War, the three plays of Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) are presented in a single performance. The cast features Sterling K. Brown, Louis Cancelmi, Peter Jay Fernandez, Jeremie Harris, Russell G. Jones, Jenny Jules, Ken Marks, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tonye Patano, and Julian Rozzell Jr.

The production features scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, and sound design and music supervision by Dan Moses Schreier.
