Elizabeth Stanley and Andrew Samonsky Join Jason Robert Brown at SubCulture

Elizabeth Stanley and Andrew Samonsky, stars of the upcoming national tour of Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman's musical The Bridges of Madison County, will join Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County, Parade) tonight for two concerts at SubCulture. The event, which is the final installment in Brown's ongoing artist-in-residency program at the venue, will also feature Broadway's Rozz Morehead (Urban Cowboy) and a 100piece orchestra.

Brown's SubCulture residency has been a yearlong concert series curated by the Tony Award-winning composer, lyricist, conductor, and director. Each performance incorporates "an eclectic mix of material, featuring music from throughout his acclaimed career, along with new works in development."

Jason Robert Brown is the Tony-winning creator of musicals such as Parade, 13 The Musical, and Songs for a New World. His musical Honeymoon in Vegas played last year at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre, and a film version of his musical The Last Five Years, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, was released on February 13.

The national tour of The Bridges of Madison County will kick off at Des Moines Civic Center beginning November 28 with an official opening on December 1. The cast will be led by Stanley and Samonsky and will also feature Cullen R. Titmas as Bud, Mary Callanan as Marge, David Hess as Charlie, Dave Thomas Brown as Michael, Caitlin Houlahan as Carolyn, and Katie Klaus, an original Broadway cast member of Bridges, as Marian/Chiara/State Fair Singer.
