Date Announced for Live From Lincoln Center Broadcast of Vanessa Williams-Led Show Boat

Live From Lincoln Center, the organization's award-winning performing-arts series showcasing the best of their wide-ranging programming, has announced its lineup of programs from September through December 2015. The series will present five programs, including two live events with the New York Philharmonic, and three broadcasts as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival. Broadway's Audra McDonald will continue as series host.

The upcoming lineup includes the New York Philharmonic Opening Night Gala with Lang Lang on September 24, Kern and Hammerstein’s Show Boat with Broadway's Vanessa Williams on October 16, Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton on October 30, Lincoln Center Theater’s Act One with Tony Shalhoub on November 13, and the New York Philharmonic's New Year’s Eve: La Vie Parisienne on December 31.

"The performing arts continue to be an enthralling and exciting experience," said series executive producer Andrew C. Wilk in a statement. "This fall season will be one of our biggest to date, presenting some of the best of the best from Lincoln Center with five broadcasts on PBS showcasing classical music, theater, and the iconic sounds from the collaboration of Danny Elfman and Tim Burton."

Live From Lincoln Center debuted on PBS in 1976. Since then, performers featured on the series have included Leonard Bernstein, Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Kelli O’Hara, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban, and many more.
