New York City Center has announced plans to present the New York premiere of Séquence 8, a new production from the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers). The production will run from April 16-26.

Séquence 8 is a theatrical blend of humor, acrobatics, dance, and music that "explores human emotions so intense that they explode into high-flying acrobatics." Directed by Shana Carroll and Sébastien Soldevila, the production premiered in Lyon, France, in 2012 and has since been performed in 15 countries.

Les 7 Doigts de la Main was founded in 2002 by seven Montreal-based artists with the goal of making circus a transformative experience for audiences and developing shows in a collaborative creative process. The company also developed circus choreography for the hit Broadway revival of Pippin and for the immersive New York nightclub experience Queen of the Night. The City Center staging will mark the troupe's first full-length work for New York audiences since 2011’s Traces.
