The run of Fiasco Theater’s production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, presented by Roundabout Theatre Company in association with McCarter Theatre Center, has been extended through April 12.

This minimalist rendering of the fairy tale-inspired musical, now playing at the Laura Pels Theatre, is directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld, who also appear in the show. Fiasco is known for its acclaimed small-scale revivals of Shakespeare's plays Cymbeline and Measure for Measure.

Into the Woods stars Jessie Austrian as Baker’s Wife; Brody as Lucinda, Wolf, and Cinderella’s Prince; Paul L. Coffey as Mysterious Man; Andy Grotelueschen as Milky White, Florinda, and Rapunzel’s Prince; Liz Hayes as Cinderella’s Stepmother and Jack’s Mother; Claire Karpen as Cinderella and Granny; Jennifer Mudge as Witch; Patrick Mulryan as Jack and Steward; Steinfeld as Baker; and Emily Young as Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.

The creative team includes Derek McLane (sets), Whitney Locher (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), Darron L. West (sound), Michael Perlman (associate director), Lisa Shriver (choreographer) Matt Castle (music director), and Frank Galgano (orchestrations).

The production officially opened on January 22, 2015, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.
