Rosie O'Donnell's nonprofit organization Rosie's Theater Kids will pay tribute to the 20th anniversary of The Lion King at its annual gala on Monday, November 6, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

The Lion King, based on Disney's 1994 animated musical, opened on Broadway November 13, 1997, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, and earned six Tony Awards. Now the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history, the production is currently playing at the Minskoff Theatre.

Founded in 2003 by Rosie O’Donnell and Lori Klinger, Rosie's Theater Kids is dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved students through the arts with both in-school and after-school programming.
