Film and television writer Stan Zimmerman's (The Golden Girls, Gilmore Girls) play Right Before I Go. will receive its New York City premiere in a one-night-only benefit performance on Thursday, November 2, at Town Hall.

Michael Wilson (The Trip to Bountiful, Gore Vidal's The Best Man) will direct the production, proceeds of which will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the JED Foundation. Casting will be announced shortly.

Right Before I Go., according to a press release, "brings to life the last words of those lost to suicide, including the heartsick, bullied, veterans, mentally ill and the achingly lonely. This poignant, deeply moving, and surprisingly light play invokes a raw and authentic approach to storytelling in an effort to help broaden public perspective of suicide, eliminate the stigma associated with depression, and strengthen the relationship between survivors and those struggling every day."
