The Public Theater's Father Comes Home From the Wars Extends Again

Suzan-Lori Parks’ newest play is directed by Jo Bonney.

A second extension has been announced for the Public Theater's Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere written by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, the production will now run through December 7. Originally scheduled to close on November 16, the show first extended through November 30.

Set during the Civil War, the three plays of Father Comes Home From the Wars are presented in a single performance. The cast features Sterling K. Brown, Louis Cancelmi, Peter Jay Fernandez, Jeremie Harris, Russell G. Jones, Jenny Jules, Ken Marks, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tonye Patano, and Julian Rozzell Jr.

The production features scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, and sound design and music supervision by Dan Moses Schreier.
