The Public Theater has announced the addition of five new members to its board of trustees. Ashley Leeds, Julio Peterson, Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Teresa Tsai, and Timothy A. Wilkins make up the group of newly elected members, following Arielle Tepper Madover’s election to the office of chair of the board of trustees in December 2013.

"I am so thrilled to have established relationships with five remarkable new Trustees who are passionate about the Public, are leaders in their fields and communities, and who bring a diverse set of skills and experiences to the Board," said Madover. "I know this group will strengthen our Board and together we will put to action the Public’s belief that culture belongs to everyone."

"We are thrilled to welcome these five exceptional leaders to the Public Theater board," added executive director Patrick Willingham. "They are all deeply committed to supporting the arts and bring an exciting range of diverse backgrounds and invaluable expertise to the Public."

The five new board members come from various professional backgrounds in business and the arts. Leeds is the CEO of JED Group LLC, a new, luxury lifestyle brand in the apparel, fragrance, and accessories categories; Peterson is the vice president of real estate for the Shubert Organization, Inc.; Quiroz is the senior vice president and chief diversity officer of Time Warner Inc. and president of the Time Warner Foundation; Tsai is the founder of Interventure Advisors LP, a private investment and real estate management company that provides advisory and management services to ultra-high net worth individuals, families, and other private investors; and Wilkins is a corporate partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and has worked in Japan for 11 years as a lawyer and investment banker.
