Project Shaw will celebrate the holiday season with a reading of George Bernard Shaw's The Shewing-Up of Blanco Posnet on December 21 at 7pm at Symphony Space’s Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre.

Written in 1909, The Shewing-Up of Blanco Posnet is Shaw's rollicking tale of the Old American Wild West. This rarely seen comedy tells the story of an outsider accused of being a horse thief, whose sentencing by death is halted when a mysterious woman appears.

The reading's cast includes William DeMeritt (Blanco Posnet), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Elder Daniels), Everett Quinton (Nestor), Andrea Dora (Babsy), Mia Katigbak (Hannah), Marylee Martin Terrano (Jessie), Alex Coelho (Strapper Kemp), Mirirai Sithole (Feemy Evans), Raphael Nash Thompson (Sheriff Kemp), Sheria Irving (The Woman), Ken Glickfeld (Waggoner Jo), and James Cleveland (The Fiddler). Aaron Lee Battle will be the Narrator.

Following the show, Turner Classic Movies' host Robert Osborne will host a Project Shaw holiday party with music, dancing, food, and the chance to mingle with the cast.
