Patina Miller and Bebe Neuwirth to Announce Drama League Awards Nominees

The Drama League has announced that Tony Award winners Patina Miller (Pippin) and Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago) will announce the 2017 Drama League Awards nominees on April 19 at Sardi's Restaurant. Nominations will be announced for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the Distinguished Performance Award.

The nominations announcement comes in advance of the 83rd Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square on May 19. The Drama League previously announced the 2017 Special Recognition Awards Recipients: Bill Berloni will receive the Unique Contribution to the Theater Award; Tony nominee Michael Greif, represented this season on Broadway by Dear Evan Hansen and War Paint, will receive the Founders Award for Excellence in Directing. In addition, a third honoree for Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theater will be announced shortly.

First awarded in 1922 and formalized in 1935, the Drama League Awards recognize distinguished productions, performances, and exemplary career achievements.
