Théâtre du Châtelet's recent production of the beloved musical Singin’ in the Rain is headed to Broadway in 2016, according to Variety. Harvey Weinstein’s Weinstein Live Entertainment is expected to produce.

Singin’ in the Rain played a limited 15 performance run at the Théâtre du Châtelet from March 15-26, 2015, and the production recently reopened for a run through January 17. Théâtre du Châtelet is the same theater that premiered Broadway's current production of An American in Paris.

Robert Carsen directs the production, which features musical direction by Stephen Betteridge and choreography by Stephen Mear (Mary Poppins). The cast includes Dan Burton, Daniel Crossley, Clare Halse, Emma Kate Nelson, Robert Dauney, Emma Lindars, Matthew Gonder, Matthew McKenna, and Karen Aspinall. No dates, theater, or casting for the 2016 Broadway has been announced.

Singin' in the Rain is written by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and is based on MGM’s 1952 movie musical starring Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. The stage adaptation features music by Nacio Herb Brown and lyrics by Arthur Freed.
