Hunter Foster to Direct Reading of New Musical OkayBetterBest

Rhonda Kess and Michael Weems' new musical, OkayBetterBest, will receive industry readings on December 3 and 4 at the Ars Nova Loft. Hunter Foster will direct the show.
The plot of OkayBetterBest is described as follows: "Can revenge be acquired by jilted women — mercilessly seeking a patsy for one night? Trisha and her girlfriends are out on the prowl, rebounding from past heartbreak as a series of guys line up, eager to please. When Tricia’s plans to find Mr. Right Now don’t go as planned, the evening becomes a more personal battle of the sexes. OkayBetterBest is a new musical comedy that makes the most of a fun night out as a cast of seven is put to the test of love vs. lust."
The readings will feature Broadway vets Jason Gotay (Bring It On), George Salazar (Godspell), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Elena Ricardo (Mamma Mia!), Christina Sajous (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Justin Matthew Sargent (Bonnie & Clyde), and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening).
