Two new plays, one by Nick Payne (Constellations) and one by Nick Jones (Verité), will be seen as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's 2015-16 off-Broadway season at New York City Center.

The American premiere of Payne's Incognito, directed by Doug Hughes, will begin previews May 3, 2016, with opening night set for May 24 at New York City Center – Stage I.

Incognito blends three different story lines, following a pathologist who steals Albert Einstein's brain, a neuropsychologist who embarks on her first romance with another woman, and a seizure patient who forgets everything about how much he loves his girlfriend, into one exploration of the mind and whether memory and identity are nothing but illusions. Payne is also the author of If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet.

The world premiere of Jones' new comedy, Important Hats of the Twentieth Century, will begin performances November 10, 2015, and open on November 23 at New York City Center – Stage II.

Directed by Jones' frequent collaborator, Moritz von Stuelpnagel, the play explores the rivalry between a pair of fashion designers in 1930s New York and how far one will go when the other starts releasing garments like "sweatshirts" and "tracksuits." Jones' plays also include The Coward and Jollyship the Whiz-Bang.

Casting and additional information about the productions will be released in the coming months.
