The New York Pops will honor Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg — the legendary songwriting team behind Miss Saigon and Les Misérables — with a concert at Carnegie Hall on May 2. The evening, which will include a grand gala at the Mandarin Oriental New York, marks the group's 33rd birthday. Sir Cameron Mackintosh and two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone will serve as honorary co-chairs for the event.

LuPone also joins the lineup of performers who will pay homage to Boublil and Schönberg’s four-decade musical partnership. The roster includes Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), West End star Jon Jon Briones (Miss Saigon), Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Supergirl), Tony nominee Norm Lewis (Cabin in the Sky), Eva Noblezada (Miss Saigon), John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables), Hugh Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera), Tony winner Lea Salonga (Allegiance), and Marie Zamora (Les Misérables). The concert will also feature Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA, as well as students from The New York Pops' Kids on Stage music education program and Camp Broadway Kids. Additional artists will be announced at a later date.

Music Director Steven Reineke conducts the performance.
