New Plays by Enda Walsh Set for St. Ann's Warehouse and Irish Arts Center

St. Ann's Warehouse and Irish Arts Center will present two new works by Tony-winning dramatist Enda Walsh.
Walsh's Arlington will receive its American premiere at St. Ann's Warehouse May 3-28. The production will feature Charlie Murphy, Hugh O'Conor, and Oona Doherty, with choreography by Emma Martin, original music by Teho Teardo, set and costume design by Jamie Vartan, lighting design by Adam Silverman, sound design by Helen Atkinson, and video design by Jack Phelan.
His theatrical installation Rooms, where he creates characters using meticulously designed sets and recorded audio monologues, will run at the same time at Irish Arts Center's future home, a former tire shop. Each individual room, designed by Galway International Arts Festival Artistic Director Paul Fahy, is contained within a 15-foot-by-15-foot white cube. Audiences of six people at a time are invited to step inside and explore these spaces for two minutes before the recorded audio begins, in which a character is introduced and a short story is told. Voice actors include Niall Buggy, Charlie Murphy, and Eileen Walsh.
