Wesley Taylor, Alice Ripley, and More to Perform Industry Reading of Mystery Box

A new comedy by Tom Alan Robbins finds a cast of Broadway regulars.

Broadway veteran Tom Alan Robbins (Newsies, Is He Dead?, The Lion King) will present a closed backer/industry reading of his new play Mystery Box on June 19.

The seasoned cast of Broadway alums will feature Wesley Taylor (Smash, The Addams Family), Tony winner Alice Ripley (American Psycho), Theo Stockman (American Psycho), Chasten Harmon (Hair), and Dakin Matthews (Waitress).

Mystery Box is a a comedy, set in the unforgiving world of the New York art scene. The story is described as follows: "When a series of conceptual pieces from a raw young artist (Taylor) receives raves from the critics, he must struggle to navigate through a minefield of competing demands from his teacher (Matthews), his patron (Ripley), his fiancee (Harmon), and his best friend (Stockman) without losing his soul."
