Music Theatre International is set to open a European office in London this summer, with new offices in Melbourne, Australia, by the end of this year and eventually in eastern Asia.

Founded by the legendary composer Frank Loesser over 60 years ago, MTI is the largest company in its field in America. The company represents and licenses the performance rights to the works of the majority of contemporary musical theater writers throughout the world.

MTI’s extensive catalog includes shows such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, the majority of Stephen Sondheim's works, all the stage productions of Disney Theatrical and Cameron Mackintosh, and more.

Freddie Gershon, the chairman of MTI, invited Cameron Mackintosh to join him as an equal partner in the company 25 years ago, and recently, Mackintosh acquired the majority shareholding.

Mackintosh has also announced that in autumn 2016, Alan Finch will join his company to become co-managing director with Nick Allott, Cameron Mackintosh Ltd’s chief executive.
