Stage veterans Matthew Morrison and Vanessa Williams will announce this year's Drama Desk Award nominations from Feinstein's/54 Below on Thursday, April 28 at 10am. The announcements will be streamed live on TheaterMania.com.

Morrison was last seen on the New York stage as J.M. Barrie in Broadway's Finding Neverland, for which he earned a Drama Desk nomination. He is a Tony nominee for The Light in the Piazza. Williams earned both Tony and Drama Desk nominations in 2002 for her portrayal of the Witch in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods, and has since returned to Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, The Trip to Bountiful, and After Midnight.

"It is an honor to have Vanessa Williams and Matthew Morrison, both recognized by the Drama Desk for their excellent work on the New York stage, announce this year’s Drama Desk nominations," said Gretchen Shugart. "We invite the industry and public to follow the nominations on TheaterMania.com's live webcast from Feinstein's/54 Below."

The Drama Desk Awards, which are presented annually, honor outstanding achievement by professional theater artists on Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway. The awards are voted on by theater critics, journalists, editors, and publishers covering theater.

The 61st Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony will be held at Town Hall on Sunday, June 5, and be hosted by Michael Urie, who won a 2013 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance in the one-man show Buyer & Cellar as well as a 2010 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance as a member of The Temperamentals.
