TheaterMania Contributor Michael Feingold Will Also Write for The Village Voice

The Village Voice has announced plans to rehire Michael Feingold, who served as the publication's longtime chief theater critic from 1983 to 2013. Feingold will write for the Voice under the title of Arts Columnist, and he will also continue writing his "Thinking About Theater" column for TheaterMania. His next two-part "Thinking About Theater" column will appear on this website on January 22 and 29.
Feingold will rejoin the Village Voice team as the company "moves forward to continue curating an editorial team of thought leaders and influencers." Feingold will write a twice-monthly arts column for the Voice.
Born in Chicago and raised in Highland Park, Illinois, Feingold holds a B.A. from Columbia and an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama. He began contributing reviews to the Voice in February of 1971. During his tenure, he received the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism and was twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Criticism. In 2014, he received his second George Jean Nathan Award for his "Thinking About Theater" column with TheaterMania, making him one of only five critics ever to win the award twice.
