Melissa Errico Releases Two Cut Tracks From Her Album Lullabies & Wildflowers

Ghostlight Records will release two previously unreleased tracks from Tony nominee Melissa Errico as a special digital exclusive on May 18.

"How Are Things in Glocca Morra?" from Finian's Rainbow (Burton Lane/Yip Harburg) and "Maybe Someone Dreamed Us" (Michel Legrand/Alan & Marilyn Bergman) were originally recorded for Errico's album Lullabies & Wildflowers, produced and arranged by Tony nominee Rob Mathes, but did not make it to the final release. Proceeds from the two new tracks will benefit the Bowery Babes, a charity Errico founded in 2005, offering free support and resources to Manhattan mothers and families.

"We had too many songs so I saved these two for a special moment, and I feel this is the perfect year to share these," said Errico. "We’ve just had one cold, tough winter and I, for one, would like to help kick off a happy spring!!! I hope to contribute to a collective Spring Celebration by sending these tracks out into the world. My desire is that they bring many sweet daydreams on a spring or summer hammock!"

Errico's Broadway credits include Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Amour, Dracula, and Irving Berlin's White Christmas. She recently starred in the world premiere of the musical Bull Durham at the Alliance Theater, and has begun to develop a new musical with David Shire and the New Yorker's Adam Gopnik called Table. The singer and actress will also perform her new one-woman show — cowritten with Gopnik and inspired by Elaine Stritch — at Joe’s Pub on November 18 and 19.
