Jennifer Haley's The Nether, now running at MCC's Lucille Lortel Theatre, has added an extra week of performances to its run, extending its final performance from March 15 to March 22. The production opened on Tuesday, February 24.

Directed by Anne Kauffman, The Nether explores the complicated morality of the digital world's newest frontier: a virtual playground where people can be coaxed into acting out their darkest fantasies, with no "real world" consequences. The play had its world premiere in Los Angeles in 2013 at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre, and recently opened a production in London’s West End at the Royal Court Theatre.

The MCC cast features Emmy Award winner Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie), Tony winner Frank Wood (Clybourne Park), Tony nominee Peter Friedman (The Open House), Ben Rosenfield (Boardwalk Empire), and Sophia Anne Caruso (The Sound of Music LIVE!).
