Lesli Margherita, Cass Morgan, and Lisa Howard Set for Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas

A number of Broadway favorites will join Paul Williams at Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas on December 15 at 9:30pm at Feinstein's/54 Below. The holiday concert features Paul Williams’ songs from the musical Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas performed by the original cast. The evening is directed by Christopher Gattelli and produced by Timothy Allen McDonald, with music direction by Larry Pressgrove.
The event will feature Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), Steven Booth (Glory Days), Lesli Margherita (Dames at Sea), Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde), Robb Sapp (Shrek The Musical), Daniel Torres (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Stephen Bienskie (Cats), Kevin Covert (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), Leo Daignault (Avenue Q), Kevin Zak, Jeff Hiller (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), and Sheri Sanders as well as muppeteers Tyler Bunch, Anney Ozar, David Stephens, Matthew Furtado, Kristin Feeney, and James Silson.
Produced in association with the Jim Henson Company, the musical Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas is based on the book by Russell and Lillian Hoban and the all-muppet HBO special of the same name that was produced and directed by the late Jim Henson. The score features Williams' songs from the television feature as well as new pieces written for the theatrical adaptation. Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas received its world premiere at Goodspeed Opera House in 2008.
Featuring a book by Timothy Allen McDonald and Christopher Gattelli, the musical follows Emmet Otter and his Ma, who can only dream of buying each other gifts as Christmas approaches in the world of Frogtown Hollow. So when a Christmas Eve talent contest is announced, both secretly enter, hoping to win the prize money.
