Flashback Friday: Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez Accept "Let It Go" Oscar

This year, Lin-Manuel Miranda is poised to overtake Bobby Lopez as history’s youngest EGOT.

In 2014, married songwriters Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit) were awarded the Best Original Song Oscar for "Let It Go" from the animated film Frozen. The momentous event not only made Robert Lopez an EGOT (winner of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards), it made him the youngest person ever to achieve the distinction — beating out previous record holder Rita Moreno by several years. But Lopez's time with the "youngest ever" title could be nearly over. This year, fellow musical-theater favorite Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) is set to overtake him with a possible win for Moana's song "How Far I'll Go." However, regardless of what happens at the awards this Sunday, we're confident the Lopezes will hang on to their unofficial title for most adorable acceptance speech ever.
