Stagehand Union Local One IATSE Makes 5-Year Financial Commitment to Actors Fund

The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that helps everyone who works in performing arts and entertainment.

The Actors Fund has announced that the membership of Local One of the IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, has approved a five-year financial commitment of $875,000. The donation will support the programs and services of the Actors Fund.

Included in the commitment is $300,000 in support for the Actors Fund’s Campaign for the Lillian Booth Home, which will be used to rebuild, expand, preserve, and operate this skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Englewood, New Jersey. In addition, $375,000 is allotted for programs and services and $200,000 for general support to be used where it is needed most.

The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that helps everyone who works in performing arts and entertainment. The Fund's programs include social services and emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing and employment, and training services.

"The financial commitment of Local One to this organization will help assure our services are there for everyone in our community in times of need, crisis or transition."
