Little Shop of Horrors Original Cast Members to Reunite for Concert

The evening will bring together various companies of the classic musical.

An upcoming Feinstein's/54 Below concert of the classic musical Little Shop of Horrors will feature cast members from the show's original off-Broadway and Broadway runs. The engagement will take place June 27 and 7 and 9:30pm.

Performers will include off-Broadway cast members Jennifer Leigh Warren, Sheila Kay Davis, Nikki Rene, Deborah Sharpe-Taylor, Marsha Waterbury, Katherine Meloche, Mimi Bessette, Brad Moranz, Andrew Hill Newman, Stuart Zagnit, Ken Land, Michael James Leslie, Ira Hawkins, Martin P. Robinson, and Howard Pinhasik.

From the Broadway company, original Urchins Trisha Jeffrey, DeQuina Moore, and Carla Hargrove will perform alongside Jonathan Rayson (Seymour), Tari Kelly (Audrey), and James E. Alexander (voice of Audrey II).

The evening is conceived by Robby Merkin and directed by Stephen Nachamie. Merkin will music-direct and lead the show's original band.

Written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the show premiered off-off-Broadway in 1982 before moving off-Broadway to the Orpheum Theatre, where it played 2,209 performances. A film, featuring Greene, Rick Moranis, and Steve Martin, was released in 1986, and the musical premiered on Broadway in 2003, where it starred Kerry Butler, Hunter Foster, and Douglas Sills.
