Lin-Manuel Miranda to Host Saturday Night Live

The ”Hamilton” creator will emcee the popular sketch comedy show.

Hamilton and In the Heights creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will host the October 8 edition of NBC's Saturday Night Live, the network has announced. Twenty One Pilots, made up of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, will serve as the episode's musical guest.

In addition to being the Pulitzer Prize-, Tony-, Drama Desk-, Outer Critics Circle-, and Grammy Award-winning creator and original star of the Broadway hit Hamilton, Miranda won a Tony and a Grammy for his musical In the Heights, and an Emmy for his music on the 2014 Tony Awards.

Miranda also wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical version of Bring It On. His upcoming film projects include Disney's Moana and Mary Poppins Returns.
