Leslie Odom Jr. to Join Phil Collins for US Open Performance

Hamilton Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr. will join music icon Phil Collins to perform during the opening night ceremony of the 2016 US Open tennis tournament. The event will take place on August 29 at Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The performance will be aired live by ESPN2.
Along with his Tony, Odom won a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album as a principal soloist in the Hamilton original cast recording. He previously appeared on Broadway in Rent and Leap of Faith. He also had a regular role on the NBC series Smash.
During his performance of the National Anthem, Odom will be accompanied by the FDNY Color Guard and NYPD Honor Guard. A special light show designed specifically for the entire performance will also be part of the show.
