Lena Hall, who won a Tony Award for her portrayal of put-upon roadie Yitzhak in the 2014 Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, will play her final performance in that role on April 4 at the Belasco Theatre. A replacement for Hall will be announced at a later date.

Hall, lead singer of the hard-rock band The Deafening, played Yitzhak opposite the Hedwigs of Tony winner Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall, and John Cameron Mitchell, the show's coauthor and original Hedwig. Her many Broadway credits also include Kinky Boots, Tarzan, Dracula, 42nd Street, and Cats.

Glee star Darren Criss has been announced as Broadway's new Hedwig and will begin performances on Wednesday, April 29, for a 12-week engagement. John Cameron Mitchell will play his final performance in the role on Sunday, April 26.

Directed by Michael Mayer and featuring musical staging by Spencer Liff, Hedwig and the Angry Inch features a score by Stephen Trask, a book by Mitchell, and designs by Julian Crouch (set), Arianne Phillips (costumes), Kevin Adams (lighting), Mike Potter (hair and makeup), Timothy O'Heir (sound), Ethan Popp (music supervision), Liz Caplan (vocal supervision), and Johanna McKeon (associate director). Justin Craig serves as musical director of The Angry Inch band, alongside Justin Craig (guitar and keyboards), Matt Duncan (bass), Tim Mislock (guitar), and Peter Yanowitz (drums).
