Laura Osnes Travels the Paths Not Taken and Sings From Sweeney Todd

In her latest cabaret venture, Tony nominee Laura Osnes is exploring the roads she didn't take. Her December 9-15 concert, titled The Paths Not Taken, features "songs from shows or roles that I never got the opportunity to do, but came close to doing," she told TheaterMania.

One of those songs is "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" from Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd. "I came close to having the opportunity to play Joanna in some production of Sweeney Todd," she recalls. Though it never happened, her affection for the tune stayed close to her. "I've always loved that song. Maybe that's a role I can still do."
