The U.S. Embassy in Madrid celebrated the Fourth of July in Broadway style, with Laura Benanti, Norm Lewis, and Jared Grimes performing some beloved musical theater tunes. The trio were invited by the U.S. Ambassador to Spain James Costos, and the event was produced by Harvey Weinstein. Over 3,000 ex-pats and Spaniards took in the evening "Celebrating New York City."
