Tony Award winners Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) and Victoria Clark (Gigi) will reunite onstage in a new production of the opera Dido and Aeneas, conducted by their frequent musical collaborator Ted Sperling with Orchestra of St. Luke's. The production will play New York City Center for two nights only, April 28 and 29, 2016.

The opera will be presented by MasterVoices, a new name for New York City's famed Collegiate Chorale, as part of its new partnership with City Center. The bill for the evenings will also include a yet-untitled new composition from Michael John LaChiusa (Giant). First produced in the 1680s, the three-act Dido and Aeneas, based on Book IV of Virgil's Aeneid, features music by Henry Purcell and a libretto by Nahum Tate.

Clark and O'Hara were last seen on stage together as mother-daughter Margaret and Clara in the Lincoln Center Theater production of The Light in the Piazza, for which Sperling served as musical director. Sperling also serves as Clark's musical director for her concert appearances.
