Flashback Friday Exclusive: Joan Rivers With TheaterMania on Why She Loved Broadway Red Carpets

Remembering the legendary comic, who gave us a peek inside her purse at a Broadway opening night.

For this week's Flashback Friday, we've decided to remember the late, great comedian and Broadway veteran Joan Rivers, who died yesterday at the age of 81. Throughout her career, Rivers appeared in three Broadway productions, including Broadway Bound and her self-penned plays Fun City and Sally Marr…and her escorts, which earned her a Tony nomination for her starring performance in 1994. However, TheaterMania decided to look back at one of our favorite offstage moments with Rivers at the opening night of Broadway's A Time to Kill in 2013. She wasn't the one asking the questions, but she certainly proved herself to be the master of the red carpet from either side of the microphone.
