This year's National High School Musical Theater Awards (otherwise known as the Jimmy Awards) will be held on Monday, June 29, at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre, the Broadway League has announced.

The event is a celebration of outstanding student achievement in vocal, dance, and acting. The show will feature 60 of America's most talented young musical theater performers vying for the "Jimmy Award" for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor. Winners will be awarded college scholarships, and other prizes will be announced live.

James L. Nederlander, president of the Nederlander Organization and namesake of the award, said in a statement, "This program is very personal to me, and I’m happy to be a part of it as it grows and evolves. Each year, watching the students make their first entrance on the stage of a Broadway theatre is an unforgettable and inspiring moment. The Jimmy Awards creates a pathway for promising young performers to pursue a career in the professional theater industry."

Finalists, hosts, and judges will be announced in the coming months.
