Colin Quinn The New York Story, a new comedy written by and starring Colin Quinn, will play the Cherry Lane Theatre from July 9-August 16, with the official opening scheduled for July 23. The production, which is presented by Brian Stern, Mike Lavoie, and Mike Berkowitz, will be directed by Jerry Seinfeld.

Based on Quinn's The Coloring Book, the play bemoans the rise and fall of his home city of New York, from its modest beginnings as a Dutch outpost to the hipsters of modern Williamsburg to the vermin below and above ground.

Colin Quinn The New York Story has set design by James Fauvell, costume design by Alexis Forte, and lighting design by Sarah Lurie.

Seinfeld previously worked with Quinn on his Broadway show Colin Quinn Long Story Short. A veteran of Saturday Night Live, Quinn has also appeared off-Broadway in his show Colin Quinn Unconstitutional.

"I'm doing this show because I've already covered the world with Long Story Short, the country with Unconstitutional, and now the city," said Colin Quinn in a statment. "I'm working my way down to the most fascinating subject: me!"
