Disney's Hunchback Musical to Receive Cast Album Led by Michael Arden and Patrick Page

Sh-K-Boom will capture the recent stage production and preserve Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz’s score.

The La Jolla Playhouse/Paper Mill Playhouse coproduction of The Hunchback of Notre Dame won't be transferring to Broadway, but it will receive a cast album, produced by Sh-K-Boom records and available starting Monday, November 20.

The American Premiere Studio Recording will capture Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz's score backed by a 25-piece orchestra, a 32-member choir, and original stars Michael Arden (Quasimodo), Patrick Page (Dom Claude Frollo), Ciara Renée (Esmeralda), Andrew Samonsky (Captain Phoebus de Martin), and Erik Liberman (Clopin Trouillefou), alongside ensemble members Julian Decker, Mary Joe Duggan, Ian Patrick Gibb, Beth Kirkpatrick, Samantha Massell, Neal Mayer, Nora Menken, William Michals, Anise Ritchie, Vincent Rodriguez III, Richard Ruiz, Joseph J. Simeone, Jeremy Stolle, and Dashaun Young.

Hunchabck features a book by Peter Parnell and a score that blends new material and songs from the 1996 animated film by composer Menken and lyricist Schwartz. Michael Starobin serves as orchestrator, alongside Michael Kosarin as music supervisor, Brent-Alan Huffman as associate music supervisor and conductor, and Rob Berman as dance arranger.
