According to Variety, HBO has canceled the dramedy series Looking, which aired its season-two finale on March 22. In order to wrap up the show's loose ends, the network plans to air a special as its final installment.

Created by Michael Lannan, Looking follows a group of gay friends living in San Francisco. The series stars Tony nominee Jonathan Groff, who currently performs the role of King George in the Public Theater production of the Broadway-bound musical Hamilton. The series aired a total of 18 episodes over the course of its two seasons, which also featured Frankie J. Alvarez, Murray Bartlett, Lauren Weedman, Russell Tovey, and Raul Castillo.

"After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special," HBO said in a statement. "We look forward to sharing this adventure with the shows loyal fans."
