Drama Desk Nominee Tom Gualtieri to Join Collaborator David Sisco for Cabaret

”What Are They Singin’ About?” will feature songs from their musical ”Falling to Earth”.

Feinstein's/54 Below will present writing team Tom Gualtieri and David Sisco in What Are They Singin' About?, a celebration of 10 years writing together. The concert, November 7 at 11:30pm, will feature songs from the team's musical Falling to Earth as well as selections from shows that haven't yet made it out of the gate.

Gualtieri and Sisco will be joined by a cast of special guests: writer and performer Christiana Cole, Jason Forbach (Les Misérables), Jeanne Lehman (Beauty & the Beast), James Patterson (Gigi), Sam Tedaldi (Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man), and Kevin Wanzor (The Worst People You Know), with a special appearance by Miss Vodka Stinger (Lower Your Expectations).

Falling to Earth received a workshop production at Syracuse University New Play Workshop, has been part of The York Theatre's Developmental Reading Series. It was mostly recently featured at Nautilus Music-Theater's Rough Cuts Reading Series. The duo's other projects include I'm Afraid You're Afraid: 448 Things to Fear and Why (based on the book by Melinda Muse) and My First Five Husbands (based on Rue McClanahan's memoir). In addition, Tom and David have appeared on stage together in David's two one-acts, Bait n' Swish.

Gualtieri's That Play: A Solo Macbeth received a Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience. He currently has a television project in development. His new choral work will premiere with the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus in 2016. This season, Sisco made his Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center debuts with his classical art songs and a commissioned choral work.
